All our standard deliveries are sent on a next working-day service and delivery is free when you spend over £100.

Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands usually take 2–3 working days, although this can vary depending on the exact location.

As with all deliveries, we’ll do everything we can to meet the estimated timeframe, but delays outside our control can occasionally occur.

Once your order has been dispatched, we’ll email you with tracking information.

If something isn’t quite right, please get in touch with us as soon as possible and we’ll do everything we can to help.

When your order arrives, please check it straight away. If anything has been damaged in transit, please take photos and contact us within 14 days of delivery.

We’ll work quickly to put things right. Unfortunately, we’re unable to process damage claims reported after 14 days.

• We’ll send you an email confirmation once your returned item has arrived with us.
• We’ll inspect the item and process your refund.
• Your refund will be issued within 7 days of receiving the return.

If you’ve ordered more paint than you need, you can return unopened items to us within 28 days.

Once your return has been approved, we’ll send you a returns label to print. You can then drop the parcel off at your nearest drop-off point.

Please note:

• Items must be unopened and returned in their original condition
• Returns are sent at your own risk
• If the product is damaged when returned, a restocking fee may apply
• Return shipping costs will be deducted automatically from your refund
• For UK mainland orders, return shipping is £6 per box

Once we’ve received and checked your return, we’ll issue your refund within 7 days.

A fine-grit sandpaper, typically around 120–180 grit, is ideal for lightly sanding walls and previously painted surfaces. It gently removes minor imperfections and creates a surface that helps the paint stick better without causing unnecessary damage.

Ceilings should be cleaned, repaired and primed as well. Removing dust, repairing any cracks or peeling areas and priming bare plaster on the ceiling will help the paint bond properly, creating a smoother, more even finish.

Preparing your walls properly is the key to achieving the best possible results. Taking the time to clean, repair and prepare the surface helps the paint stick properly, creating better and longer lasting finish.

Fresh plaster should be a consistent light pink colour with no dark patches before you begin decorating. While it can be tempting to start painting sooner, applying paint before the plaster has fully dried can prevent it from bonding properly, leading to patchy coverage and a less durable finish.

Giving fresh plaster enough time to dry creates the perfect foundation for your paint, helping you achieve a smoother finish and long-lasting protection for the spaces that matter most.

Treat the affected area with Heroes Mould Remover before you start decorating. Once it’s done its job, wipe away any mould left over with a clean, damp cloth or sponge and make sure the wall to dry fully before applying Heroes Shield.

Heroes Shield is available in white. It can be left as it is, overcoated with Heroes Pure or painted over with any water-based paint.

As long as the your previous paint is in good condition, there’s no need to remove it all. Simply scrape away any loose or peeling paint, smooth any rough edges and make sure the surface is clean before you start decorating.

Definitely. After two coats, Heroes Shield can be left as a white finish, but if you’d like to add colour you can paint over it with Heroes Pure or any water-based emulsion while still getting all of the good stuff.

Yes. Heroes Pure is low odour, so you can freshen up your home without strong paint smells taking over. Just remember to keep the room well ventilated while you decorate and as the paint dries. It’s an ideal choice for family homes and spaces that need to be back in use quickly.

Leave your first coat to dry for around 1–4 hours before applying the second. Exactly how long it takes will depend on how warm and well ventilated the room is.

Heroes Pure is more than just a paint. It’s an air-purifying paint that helps tackle harmful airborne pollutants from your home, creating cleaner indoor air quaility for you and your family.

Most rooms will only need two coats to achieve a beautiful, even finish, but if you’re painting over a much darker colour or onto a particularly absorbent surface, you may find a third coat to get the best result.

Absolutely. As long as the existing paint is in good condition, simply give the surface a clean, remove any loose or peeling paint and lightly sand glossy finishes before you start.

Of course, choosing The Heroes System doesn’t mean you can’t redecorate in the future.

When you fancy a change, you can redecorate as normal and Shield will keep working underneath. Pure needs to remain the topcoat for its air-purifying technology to work, so simply use Pure again if you want to keep both benefits working together.
